An older fan can display them; a younger one can still appreciate them, though they are not posable and could get damaged by rough play. My 3-year old does just fine with them; Maleficent and the dragon are particularly a hit, though as you can tell from the picture, the dragon isn't to scale, obviously.
My one-star rating regards not the product but this price. I JUST bought this set this week for under $10 at a mall Disney store. Online, Disney was selling it for slightly more. Here, double and triple that? Shop around.
