(More customer reviews)I am not sure if we have a defective model (since I can find almost no useful online information about this product), but while it is a fun toy and my toddler enjoys it immensely, I find it very odd that as soon as you turn the car on the wheels spin backward and the car will continue to go backward UNTIL you press the remote control button which then makes it shoot forward. I do not seem to be able to guide it right or left using the remote, just forward (by pushing down the button) and backward by letting it up. Since its default motion is to drive backwards on a curve, I can get it around the room by continually altering the backward and forward motion to make it turn appropriately. Batteries on the car side do seem to get eaten up rather quickly.
