(More customer reviews)Purchased at Toys R Us for $99. For the price, I was very disappointed with the quality of this set. We have collected Geotrax TRAIN sets and pieces for four years and love them. This set does NOT match the quality of those sets. The mtn. piece is made of a flimsy single piece of thin plastic. The tracks seem thinner and more brittle than what I'm used to, and even my 5 year old son has difficulty snapping them together. I do like the RC Lightning McQueen. It's faster than the trains.
On the other hand, my 3 kids (ages 5, 3, 18m) LOVE this set. When we first opened it, they played with it TOGETHER (all 3 of them! without screaming or violence of any kind!) for almost 3 hours. Since then, they continue to enjoy it, role play with it, and have started adding the Geotrax train pieces to Radiator Springs. Another couple hours pass peacefully...
Bottom Line, if your kids already have Geotrax, it's a fun (but expensive) addition. If not, I might investigate what other Cars toys are out there and their prices before deciding on this.
