(More customer reviews)Here's the deal. I'm going to be upfront about this. The set is just okay. The figures are extremely durable and I feel confident in letting my four year old nephew and two year old niece play with these toys. They are strong and as a result, I give it a three.
The reason why I give this set only a three is because the detail is HORRIBLE. It is not consistent. For instance, Mrs. Potts and Chip look good, Beast looks alright, and Phillipe(the horse) looks great. However, Lumiere and Cogsworth are sub-par, Gaston looks like a sissy(completely opposite of the character in the film. He is grinning like he just found out he's headed to McDonald's for a Happy Meal). But the absolute worst two figures in the set are the two Belle's. One is her with her blue casual outfit; the other, in her big fancy yellow dress. Both look absolutely hideous and it's too bad because in the film, I always regarded Belle as being very beautiful. In this set, it's hard to tell which figure is 'beauty' and which is 'beast', that is, Belle looks worse than the Beast.
Another reason why I give this set only a three is because it bothers me that Mrs. Potts and Chip are one figure. In addition to this, Lumiere and Cogsworth are also connected. I wish they would have made them separately.
All in all, I guess I would recommend this product. Just don't get your hopes up. If you need a gift for a young child, then this will suffice, since they are strong and able to withstand heavy play. But, if you are a collector, look for a different set.
