(More customer reviews)I would definitely recommend these blocks. They are constructed of a soft, pliable, but not overly squishy plastic. Babies love to chew on them and they are easy for baby to hold. I loved them as a bring-along toy to restaurants, etc, because even when baby wants to bang them on the table they are not loud, and if they are dropped, the plastic is easy to rinse off. They are very durable, and as baby gets older, they can certainly be stacked like regular blocks. Great for ages 3-12 months. (Not so great for before baby can hold them, as they do not make noises or clip on to anything.)
