(More customer reviews)Bought a heavily-advertised Barbie Peek-A-Boo for my 4-year-old daughter. We purchased one of the ballet figurines. This is defintely the poorest quality Barbie product I have ever purchased. The legs of the "doll" fall off constantly. The container for the doll is very hard for my daughter to open on her own as well. There is a stand for the doll, which is very hard to use, and, invariably, trying to get the doll on the stand means her legs fall off which means her ballet skirt will fall off next. The "charms" are so chintzy that they take cheap plastic to a whole other level.
I thought these would be akin to the old-time Polly Pockets. They are not. They're such a cute idea, and LOOK very cute, but they are not sturdy at all, and your child will spend more time fixing it than playing with it.My daughter was very, very disappointed with the toy--she'll carry the little shoe-slipper house around with her, but she won't actually remove the doll to play with it because she's so tired of it falling apart.
Shame on Mattel for peddling such junk!
